Cynthia Alfaro

Communications & Project Manager

Cynthia Alfaro works with Chesapeake’s clients to develop creative communications strategies and campaigns. She oversees social media, digital audience engagement, graphic design, website development and video production at Chesapeake. In addition to her communications work, she also oversees all client projects to ensure timely and quality results. 


Cynthia’s excellent interpersonal communication skills enable her to work closely with various constituencies, successfully generating support and excitement for client projects and initiatives.


Cynthia is an avid graphic designer and has created a variety of award-winning collaterals for Chesapeake’s clients, including branding suites, logos, websites, newsletters, fact sheets and advertisements. She develops digital advocacy campaigns that bring positive results to our clients.


In her work as Project Manager, Cynthia’s attention to detail, organizational skills and creativity has allowed her to get things done at Chesapeake.  


Before joining Chesapeake, Cynthia worked with several nonprofit organizations such as Latino Student Fund, Capital Concerts, Inc. and CentroNía. She is bilingual in both Spanish and English, has translated press releases for media outlets and has worked as a Spanish interpreter.


Cynthia Alfaro earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a focus in Public Relations from the University of Maryland, College Park. She joined Chesapeake in 2016 and since has delivered exceptional results for our clients.
